A single number that captures team-level flow.

The flow score blends cycle-time variance, queue length, and rework rate into a 0–100 rollup. It updates live as cards move; teams can pin it to their standup board and trend it quarter-over-quarter. It's the metric dashboards are built from, not a vanity chart.

02 · Cycle time & throughput

Cycle time decomposed to the column level.

Average, p50, p85, and p95 cycle time — broken down by column, swimlane, assignee, and card type. Throughput charts aggregate by week, sprint, or any custom interval. Both can be sliced against any custom field without writing a query.

Aging is shown per card — how long a card has been in its current column, with a colored band from green to amber to red. Click any aging band to see only those cards; export the list to your standup doc with one click. No more "what's blocking this?" repeated three times in retro.

An in-product coach that enforces flow discipline.

The WIP-limit coach is opinionated on purpose. It watches your throughput, suggests column limits, and nudges the team when limits are breached. Customers report an average 41% lead-time reduction within the first 90 days of enabling it.

When a team turns on the coach for a column, i-Kanban samples the last 30 days of throughput and proposes a WIP cap. Every suggestion is shown with the underlying cycle-time and queue-length math, so a lead can accept, reject, or pin it as a 90-day experiment.
