How does the 14-day free trial work?

Start the trial from any tier — Starter, Growth, or Scale — without entering a credit card. You get the full feature set of your chosen tier for 14 days. If you do nothing, the workspace switches to read-only and your boards, cards, and history stay intact, so you can pick a plan later and pick up exactly where you left off.

Which users count as billable seats?

Any active member who logs in and creates, edits, moves, or comments on a card counts as a seat. Guests who only view via a shared board link do not count. Free Viewer seats are available on every plan — typically used by stakeholders who need read-only visibility without occupying a paid seat.

What happens at renewal if I downgrade or cancel?

Annual plans downgrade cleanly to the lower tier at the next renewal cycle with no data migration required — boards, automations, and API tokens stay live. Monthly plans can be canceled at any time and revert to the free Starter tier at the end of the billing period. Card history and attachments remain accessible for 90 days after any downgrade.

Is EU data residency available on every plan?

Yes. EU data residency in our Frankfurt region is available as a workspace-level setting on all three paid tiers at no additional cost, including during the free trial. Switching regions later is permitted once per workspace per year and involves a one-time re-indexing window of 2–6 hours.

What is the actual difference between Growth and Scale?

Growth is built for a single product team (up to 25 seats per workspace) with full flow analytics, WIP-limit coaching, and all 240+ templates. Scale adds multi-workspace rollups, SSO/SAML, audit logs, custom DPA terms, a dedicated success manager, and volume seat pricing — the practical differences are governance and scale, not analytics depth.

Do you offer a discount for non-profits, startups, or education?

Verified non-profits, accredited educational institutions, and pre-Series-A startups under 20 employees qualify for a 50% discount on any annual tier. Verification is handled via your domain email or a one-time document upload, and the discount applies from your next billing cycle — it is not retroactively refunded.

How does the 14-day free trial actually work?

Sign up with a work email, invite your team, and connect one of the eight supported integrations (GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Linear, Slack, Figma, Zapier) so the Flow-Score engine has real data to score. We never ask for a credit card. On day 14 you choose a plan or your workspace freezes — boards and cards are kept for 90 days so you can come back.

Are read-only or guest seats billable?

Only members who edit cards count toward your seat total. Read-only viewers, stakeholders on a “guest” board, and people on public sharing links are free in every tier. You can see exactly who counts from Settings → Billing → Seats at any time.

What happens at renewal — and can I downgrade without losing board history?

Annual plans auto-renew for another 12 months; we email a reminder 30 days before so nobody is surprised. Downgrading from Scale → Growth (or Growth → Starter) keeps every board, card, comment, attachment, and history entry intact. Features you lose are deactivated, but your data stays. Moving back up re-enables them.

Where is EU data residency available, and how do I turn it on?

EU data residency (Frankfurt) is included on Growth and Scale. You pick the region per workspace during setup, and it’s enforced for storage, processing, and backups. US-only workspaces can migrate to EU later from Settings → Workspace → Region; we don’t charge for the move.

Can I add or remove seats mid-cycle, and how is the proration calculated?

Yes. Adding a seat mid-cycle prorates the difference to the day on your next invoice. Removing a seat credits the unused time against the next cycle — we don’t issue refunds for partial months. Annual plans move to the new seat total at the next renewal unless you ask for a mid-cycle true-up.
